	The "Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Award" was established in 1994 by Howard & Connie Clery to honor schools and individuals that have done extraordinary things to make college and university students safer.
Thomas Jefferson University Thomas Jefferson University was honored for continually providing a safe campus by devoting considerable time and effort to the security system and to communication with students and employees. Daniel Carter and Dana Getzinger-Foley of Safe Campuses Now Dana Getzinger co-founded the student group Safe Campuses Now at the University of Georgia and Daniel Carter founded the University of Tennessee-Knoxville chapter.
