Gail Minger has alerted the public that arson is a serious concern on college campuses. Gail Minger's son Michael died in an arson fire in his college dorm at Murray State (KY).

She has eloquently illustrated that if colleges abide by the law there are safeguards in place which can avoid senseless tragedies. Gail has single-handedly convinced Kentucky legislators to implement legislation to enforce sanctions that will make it harder for colleges to hide crime and to avoid being negligent in responding to hazardous situations.
