HELP US TO CONTINUE
WAYS OF GIVING:
You may support Security On Campus, Inc. by making gifts of cash, securities and other property. In addition to helping SOC (a public nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization), your gifts may provide you with estate tax savings. We outline some gift giving techniques below. (Of course, you should consult your own tax advisor about limits to deductibility and other matters relating to tax savings.)
GIFTS OF SECURITIES:
You may give readily marketable, publicly traded securities to Security On Campus, Inc. When you give securities worth more than you paid for them, you may benefit two ways. First, you pay no capital gains tax on the amount of the increase in value. Second, your income tax deduction is equal to the value of the security at the time of your gift.
INCOME INTEREST GIFTS:
Through a so-called "Charitable Lead Trust," you may give property to a trust, which pays income to Security On Campus, Inc. for a term of years, donor's life, etc. You (or the person you name) get the property back at the end of that time, even if it has appreciated in value. Income, gift and estate tax benefits are available.
GIFTS OF LIFE INSURANCE:
You may transfer ownership of an existing life insurance policy to Security On Campus, Inc. You can deduct the value of the policy (technically, its 'interpolated terminal reserve'). Or, you could purchase a new policy making SOC the owner and beneficiary. In both cases, you can obtain an income tax deduction for the premiums you pay each year on the policy.
BEQUESTS:
You may provide gifts to Security On Campus, Inc. under your Will or Trust. These gifts can be outright or of an income or remainder interest.
Your gift is an investment in the future of our country's most precious resource-our students. When they fail, we fail!
Thanks for your help,

"Thank you so much for helping me get through this, you truly are an inspiration. I'm so glad something is being done finally here at my school. Please let the Clerys know how forever grateful I am to them for working with Security On Campus, Inc. for so many years and being such a strong force in making the changes that need to happen for students to be safer at their places of study."
