Thanks for using heroin responsibly

Sound shocking?

This is the same slogan the beer industry uses for pushing its drug.

Studies have shown that up to 90% of sexual assaults involve alcohol.

Alcohol kills 6 times more people than all other illicit drugs (including heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine) combined.

What could happen when you walk home "really drunk"?
- Get hit by a car
- Pass out and die of exposure
- Slip down a bank and drown
- Become a "missing" statistic
- Become easy prey for a criminal

Wasted YouthA "binge" is a pattern of drinking alcohol that brings blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to .08 gram percent or above. For the typical adult, this pattern corresponds to consuming 5 or more drinks (male) or 4 or more drinks (female) in about 2 hours. Binge drinking is clearly dangerous for the drinker and for society.

Watching your weight?

Alcohol should never replace a meal! Drinking on an empty stomach can be particularly dangerous, leading to more rapid intoxication and unpredictable results.

Feeling depressed?

Alcohol will not elevate your mood. In fact, as a drug, alcohol is classified as a depressant, meaning that it can often make you feel even more down. Alcohol is linked to approximately 300 suicides per year.
