Matt's Law Clears Committee Vote In California Assembly

Matt CarringtonSacramento, California-Matt's Law, which will strengthen California's laws against hazing, unanimously passed the California state Assembly Public Safety Committee last Tuesday. It will next go to the Appropriations Committee.

Debbie Smith the mother of Matthew Carrington (pictured right), for whom Matt's Law is named, would like to extend her thanks to everyone who wrote or called in support. We'll have more information about how you can next support this lifesaving legislation in a forthcoming SOC Update.
