Re: Urgent Please Oppose Parole Of Christopher Righetti In Kim Montelaro Murder Case Dear Friends, A very disturbing case from New Jersey has just been brought to our attention, and we need your help TODAY to keep a brutal murderer behind bars! In 1976 Christopher Righetti, then 16, brutally raped and murdered University of Rhode Island student Kim Montelaro while she was home in New Jersey. He was already well known to police, having just been released after serving 13 months in a juvenile facility for raping an 18 year old woman. He'd been told if he'd murdered his prior victim he wouldn't have been caught and so his violence escalated. The coroner's report found evidence of rape, six stab wounds, and that the victim choked on her own blood. Her killer is now being considered for parole, and we need you to write to the New Jersey State Parole Board in opposition to granting his release. "What I want and my wife wants is justice, which is for him to stay in prison the rest of his life," said Kim's father Tony in news reports published in October. We agree. It is the Parole Board's fundamental duty to protect its fellow citizens from innately violent murderers. They may decide to release him as early as next month so please act today. Please send your letters opposing Christopher Righetti's release (be sure to include his Prison Number-59431) to: Mr. John D'Amico Jr., Chairman Fax Number: (609) 943-4769 Warmest Personal Regards, |
