If you ask SOC to investigate your case, or act on your behalf in order for your school to be able to speak with us you will need to execute a waiver of your educational records privacy rights.


Know Your Rights!

Title IX

If you are a sexual assault victim, you reported the assault to your school, and they failed to promptly and effectively respond then your Title IX rights may have been violated. You can file a complaint with the U.S. Dept. of Ed.'s Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) permits the victims of violent crimes to redisclose the final results of campus court proceedings when the accused is found responsible.
